Chelsea Handler Hard Launches New Boyfriend With Posts From Istanbul, Turkey

Comedian Chelsea Handler officially hard-launched her relationship.

On Instagram and TikTok, Handler finally revealed her new boyfriend. According to the post, the couple recently traveled to Istanbul, Turkey. Handler included many photos of the two exploring the city.

In one of the photos, Handler wore an electric-blue headscarf. In another photo, she and her boyfriend shared Aperol spritz cocktails.

She captioned her post, “I swung by Istanbul after Finland to check out what goes down during Ramadan. What a city. If I retained 50% of what I learned about the Byzantine, Ottoman, and Arabian Empires, I am much more knowledgeable than when I left. What a gorgeous, history-filled trip with a nice injection of my signature nonsense. See you in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati this weekend. I like to get around.”

Istanbul offers ancient history and culture, with sights such as the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Tourists can explore the Grand Bazaar, go cruising on the Bosphorus and end their day with delicious street food in Karaköy. To escape the busy city, travelers can also escape to Prince’s Island for a day trip.

Although the comedian did not reveal her boyfriend’s identity, she did share how they met in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal last week. According to the interview, Handler and her boyfriend met at a blackjack table during her stay at The Cosmopolitan in Vegas last November.

“I had to ask this guy sitting at a blackjack table who was wearing a cowboy hat, he had a lot of chips, like, thousands of dollars,” she said. “I was like, ‘Hey, buddy, can I borrow $1,000? I’m gonna start winning right away. And he was like, ‘Yeah, absolutely!’ So he gave me $1,000,” Handler told the outlet. “I paid him back another thousand just for interest, which I ended up taking back at the end of the night because I said, ‘I don’t think he deserved that.'”

 She added, “He’s not a real cowboy, but I call him Cowboy.”

Handler then shared that she received a message from an unknown sender that read, “I had so much fun last night with you.”

The message came from the mysterious “cowboy.” Handler continued that her friend even said, “Oh, that’s the cowboy from the blackjack table. I gave him your number because you guys were so cute together. He loaned you that money, you paid him back, you guys were really flirty.”

The couple recently had a trip to Antarctica. “I sent him a link to this trip I went on in Antarctica, and then he bought a ticket and met me there,” Handler said. “I’m still going strong with this guy. It’s hot, and a woman like me needs a big move like that.”
