During the winter months, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly vacationed in northern Italy’s Lake Como.

The famous lake sits at the foot of the Alps, providing visitors with breathtaking views. There are many activities to participate in – around and in the lake.

The colorful villages around Lake Como are almost as stunning as the lake itself. Some of the most popular villages to stay at include Bellagio and Varenna. Their proximity allows easy access to boat services that will allow travelers to quickly reach surrounding villages.

Boat tours are another fantastic way to take in as many sights as possible. Guests can even rent a private boat to enjoy with the ones close to them. A private boat rental allows guests to enjoy a relaxing cruise of the lake on their own time. Water activities are also a large draw as many travel to the lake to go sailing and windsurfing.

On land, make sure to check out the Cathedral of Como. Take in the historic views of the beautiful cathedral that was built in 1396. Work on the building didn’t finish until 1740, so the cathedral offers unique examples of architecture throughout the years.

If part of Lake Como looks familiar, maybe it’s because it is. Villa Balbianello is a must-see for James Bond fans. Scenes from the 2006 remake of Casino Royale were shot at the villa. Visitors will also want to take a tour through the grounds because the last resident of the villa, explorer and mountain climber Guido Monzino, was an avid art collector. His collection spans countries and decades.
