Melanie Griffith, 69, Shares Swimsuit & Yoga Photos From Austrian Wellness Retreat

Melanie Griffith is sharing glimpses of a relaxing getaway, posting photos on Instagram from a week-long stay at a luxury health resort in Austria.

The 69-year-old actress spent the week at the VIVAMAYR Maria Wörth resort on Lake Wörthersee. Her carousel of photos included several shots of her in a high-cut black one-piece swimsuit. In one, Griffith lounges on a dock with one leg bent, her blonde hair pulled into a messy bun and her eyes shielded by black sunglasses, with the lake and mountains stretching out behind her.

Other images show the Working Girl star in cutoff denim shorts on a boat, holding a yoga pose in a bright pink workout set.

‘Heaven on Earth’

Griffith described the trip as a week of wellness, healing and renewal, calling the resort “a little heaven on earth.”

“It gave me the chance to truly recharge, replenish and relax,” she wrote. She praised the resort’s signature program, known as “The Cure,” describing it as a health reset centered on caring for the body, mind and soul.

VIVAMAYR, which operates resorts in Austria and elsewhere in Europe, is known for programs based on the Mayr method. That approach emphasizes digestive health, mindful eating and rest.

Griffith has spoken in the past about keeping active. She has worked with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson, whose sessions combine strength training with high-intensity cardio.

The daughter of actress Tippi Hedren, star of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds, Griffith followed her mother into acting. She broke through in the 1980s with films including Body Double and Something Wild.

Her biggest success came with 1988’s Working Girl, in which she played ambitious secretary Tess McGill opposite Harrison Ford and Sigourney Weaver. The role earned her an Academy Award nomination for best actress and a Golden Globe win.

Griffith has three children: son Alexander Bauer, with actor Steven Bauer; actress Dakota Johnson, with Don Johnson, whom she married twice; and Stella Banderas, with ex-husband Antonio Banderas. She and Banderas divorced in 2015 after nearly two decades of marriage.
