Richard Gere’s Wife, Alejandra, Shows Off Tropical Family Vacation, After Recent Move To Spain

Alejandra Gere took to Instagram to post pictures from her tropical vacation with her husband, Richard Gere, and their children.

The Spanish publicist and activist included a combination of photos and videos. One of these was a clip of her and her two sons, Alexander and James, walking on the docks with the sunset behind them.

Other photos showed the family enjoying a movie outside their hotel and taking a boat ride to look for dolphins. Gere also included snapshots of the resort, especially the lush white-sand beach and clear waters surrounding their hotel.

Gere originally wrote her Instagram caption in Spanish. “Sometimes I wish time would stop. That they would stay small, looking at the world with such pure curiosity. Discovering every corner of nature as if it were the first time,” the translated caption read.

“And then you understand that it is not about stopping time, but about living every moment with them as if it were eternal.”

In addition to Alexander and James, Alejandra has another son, Albert, from her previous marriage to her ex-husband, Govind Friedland. Richard also has an older son, Homer, from his ex-wife, Carey Lowell.

After Alejandra and Richard’s 2018 marriage, the couple relocated to Spain.

They sold their Connecticut mansion for $10.75 million and are looking for a fresh start in a new country.

In an interview with People, Richard spoke about what he likes about living in Spain.

“My wife is so happy in Spain, so that’s the best part of that. She has a wonderful family, wonderful friends.”

“Spanish culture, there’s a very open joy about it,” he added, also mentioning that Spanish people are “very warm and very open and a lot less stressed than what you find here in the U.S.”

“It’s a very happy place. Like the Italians. I mean, being in Italy, being in Spain, you’re dealing with Latin cultures that just understand life in a different way than we do here.”
