Jennifer Lopez Takes Twins Max & Oskar On Italian Farewell Trip Ahead Of College

Jennifer Lopez shared a series of Instagram photos on Monday documenting a family trip through Italy with her 18-year-old twins, Max and Oskar, which she framed as one last major getaway before both head off to start college.

“Road tripping with my coconuts before they head off to college,” Lopez captioned the carousel, using the longtime family nickname that dates back to when the twins were infants with little hair, which reportedly reminded Lopez of small coconuts.

The images spanned stops across multiple Italian cities, including the pair posing together at Rome’s Colosseum, a group photo in the Vatican Museums’ courtyard, and casual moments from meals, coffee stops and a gondola ride. Lopez appeared in a rotation of dresses throughout the trip, while Max and Oskar kept to more casual T-shirt-and-shorts looks typical of teenage travel.

The trip follows separate high school graduation ceremonies for the twins, whom Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, held earlier this summer. At Max’s graduation in June, Lopez was photographed wiping away tears while surrounded by her parents, Guadalupe Rodríguez and David Lopez, along with her manager Benny Medina and Oskar.

Oskar, who came out as transgender around the time of the ceremony and now goes by that name and he/him pronouns after previously going by Emme and using they/them pronouns, is set to study theater and visual arts at Sarah Lawrence College in New York starting this fall.

The Italy trip marks the latest milestone Lopez has documented publicly this year involving her children, coming roughly a year after her divorce from Ben Affleck was finalized and shortly after she celebrated turning 57 in July, a birthday she said in recent comments left her feeling that her life had become “better” following the split.
