Amy Schumer shared photos on social media, exhibiting her gorgeous boating vacation with her friends and her 7-year-old son, Gene. She also posted photos of Gene with her ex-husband, Chris Fischer. Schumer officially announced her divorce from her husband on January 6, after seven years of marriage.

“There’s nothing ugly. It’s a cohesive split,” Schumer said.

Regardless of the divorce, Schumer stated that she and her husband will continue to focus on raising their son.

In the photographs Schumer shared, she was showing off her dramatic 50lbs weight loss. She was also seen on a jet ski, where she smiled, directed at the camera. Her red swimsuit and black helmet were iconic; her son also wore a matching black helmet.

While some pictures were controversial, with some netizens viewing her accomplishment as “thirst traps.” She insisted that the photos she shared on Instagram were proof of her wellness journey, not something to worry about.

Last, she mentioned, “Pics of yourself when you’re finally feeling strong and beautiful are not a cry for help. They are a celebration of life and health. Love to the single moms out there.”
