Kate Hudson is still dreaming of Hawaii.

The Running Point star, 47, gave fans a glimpse of her getaway to Lana’i, where she celebrated her longtime friend and jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer‘s wedding to billionaire Geoff Ogunlesi on Oct. 10.

In a 45-second Instagram video she shared Oct. 16, Hudson documented the trip from start to finish, beginning with her arrival at the Four Seasons Lana’i, where the bride-to-be greeted her. The clip also showed her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa, and scenes from the ceremony and evening reception, where Hudson danced the night away.

The video also showed Hudson relaxing on a white towel in a strapless red bikini. In true Hudson fashion, the actress, who co-founded the activewear brand Fabletics, also squeezed in a quick core workout right on the beach.

For the wedding itself, Hudson wore a semi-sheer, strapless gold gown covered in gems, while Fujikawa opted for a classic black tuxedo. Hudson shared more photos in a separate Instagram carousel, captioning it, “Mentally still here.”

Meyer was quick to show her friend some love, gushing in the comments that she loved the video so much.

Meyer’s ex-husband, Tobey Maguire, officiated the ceremony. Hudson joined the bride as she got ready, along with her stepsisters, Erin Foster and Sara Foster. The guest list also included Courteney Cox, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos.

It’s easy to see why the couple chose Lanai for their big day. One of the smallest inhabited Hawaiian islands, Lanai is home to about 3,200 people, a single town and not one traffic light. Once known as “The Pineapple Island,” it was at one time responsible for about 75% of the world’s pineapple production.

Today, the island is known for its seclusion and luxury resorts. Visitors can snorkel among tide pools at Hulopoe Bay, a marine preserve where spinner dolphins are sometimes spotted, explore the otherworldly red rock formations of the Garden of the Gods, or hike the eight-mile Munro Trail for sweeping views across the island.

There are no direct flights from the mainland, but travelers can fly in from Honolulu or take a roughly one-hour ferry ride from Maui, a favorite of celebrities from Britney Spears to Patrick Mahomes, who wed his wife Brittany in a Maui destination wedding.

The trip may have inspired Hudson. She and Fujikawa got engaged in 2021, and she recently admitted they still haven’t settled on wedding plans, joking that while Fujikawa wants a small affair, their family alone adds up to about 50 people.

The couple, who share a daughter, Rani Rose, have been together since 2016. Hudson also often travels with her famous family, including mom Goldie Hawn, who has a vacation home in Greece.
