Reese Witherspoon Takes Dream Costa Rica Girls Trip

Reese Witherspoon recently took a three-day-long ultimate girls trip to Costa Rica.

“Three days in Costa Rica with the most amazing women,” the actress captioned a Tik Tok video. “I feel like a new person. #puravida #thewell ?☀️?”

Witherspoon and her friends stayed at Hacienda AltaGarcia, a popular destination for celebrities like Emma Roberts, Nina Dobrev and Shaun White looking for a little R&R before getting back to their busy lives.

Witherspoon’s video was full of glimpses into the group’s fun trip. She noted that they went on a hike every day. The resort notes that there are five kilometers of well-marked trails on their grounds. One of the best hikes is to the Mina Escondida waterfall. This hike is an easy and beautiful trek, perfect for those with younger children. Nature is everywhere, and it’s not unusual to spot a toucan or monkeys. It takes around three hours round trip, including a 30-minute commute and a 20-minute hike. There is also a snack shack along the way.

For a more difficult hike, try the Roca de Nubes adventure. Hikers will depart at sunrise and gain around 900 meters over three kilometers. The variety of views offers a true Costa Rican experience. The trail takes visitors through the clouds, into the jungle and over rivers. Along the way, hikers are treated to a mountain picnic. This excursion can take around six hours round trip and should be attempted by active adventurers as the path down can be challenging.

The Well, the luxury resort’s world-famous wellness center, is one of the biggest draws. Witherspoon and company spent much of their time being pampered as The Well seeks to offer personalized experiences depending on each person’s needs. Some of its treatments include a full-body herbal exfoliation, local clay treatment, purifying water, aromatherapy steam room, sauna and a jet pool.
