The holidays are over, and everyone is looking for something to get them through the long winter months.

Some celebrities, like the Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, decided to go on vacation. Giudice and her fiancé Luis Ruelas took advantage of the snowy season and hit the Colorado slopes for a few days of skiing.

Aspen Snowmass is known as one of the best ski resorts in the state. The resort boasts more than 5,500 acres of terrain. It combines four different mountains and is regularly home to the Winter X-Games. Every level of skier or snowboarder can find a run at this resort. Lift tickets for children, teens and the elderly can be found as low as $131 when bought in advance. Adults can purchase tickets for $189 ahead of time. One-day tickets can cost up to $141 and $199 respectively depending on when the tickets are bought and what day the visitor plans on skiing.

When visiting, don’t forget to take part in one of the mountain’s famous traditions where they offer free s’mores between 3:30 and 4:40 p.m. daily. While the mountains are beautiful, Aspen offers a wide range of activities off the slopes as well.

The town is a celebrity hot spot. Many famous names own property in Aspen. The plethora of restaurants, shops and activities with the resort as a backdrop make for the quintessential mountain town. A few favorite restaurants include the superb sushi and cocktail destination, Matsuhisa and White House Tavern, where guests enjoy upscale sandwiches, wines, beers and cocktails.
