Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade traveled to Hawaii for Christmas with their daughter Kaavia James, 3, and friends, according to the couple’s social media accounts.

The group enjoyed a hike to the Twin Falls on Hana Road in Maui. The moderate trail is a 1.8-mile hike and a popular tourist destination. It costs $10 to park at the site. On Google, the hike gets a 4.5-star rating on over 2,000 reviews. Some comments warn hikers to wear water shoes due to water on the trail and that the waters can be murky after rain.

It appeared that Wade’s children from previous relationships, Xaiver, 8, Zaya, 14 and Zaire, 19 did not join them on the trip.

Even on vacation, Union used her platform to support black designers as she posted a picture of herself in an Andrea Iyamah lavender bikini staring off into the ocean.

Union reflected on the new year, sharing her intentions for a 2022 full of healing.

“Still working on myself and releasing what no longer serves me,” Union shared. “Embracing personal evolution, accountability and improved communication. Being crystal clear about my boundaries and continuing to ask for help. I felt like I turned to dust in 2021 and I was circling the drain with a smile and a wave. I couldn’t continue to compartmentalize (is this a word ??‍♀️) all of my trauma and pain. Time to face the beast. Me. To everyone slaying dragons seen and unseen while trying to be everything to everyone, I see you. Choose you 1st. Love and light good people.”
