Read on to find out how to travel like Cindy Crawford during a relaxing getaway up North.

The first step is finding a dreamy lakefront destination. Canada is in no shortage of beautiful spots, and Muskoka, Ontario, is one of the best. Muskoka boasts 1,600 lakes, but the most popular are Muskoka, Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph. Beautiful cottages surround the lakes and many are available for weeklong vacations or even short-term rentals.

Jasper, Alberta, is another great destination. Surrounded by the Canadian Rockies, Beauvert Lake offers stunning views. A stay here also means close proximity to a golf course.

Lake activities are the most popular way to spend the days. Canoeing, fishing and paddleboarding present endless fun. There are also hikes galore, including the Frank Miller Memorial Route to Bala Falls, which is the largest waterfall in Muskoka. In Jasper, make sure to take time to hike the Valley of the Five Lakes. The trails are populated with wildlife and especially unique birds.

For those friends and family members who are feeling like a more relaxing activity, Crawford’s other vacation plans might be a little more appetizing. Crawford is an avid reader. She brought along the book, Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty. She highlighted a line from the book, “That was the secret of a happy marriage: step away from the rage,” which went perfectly with her photos of her getaway with Gerber.
