House of Gucci star Jared Leto‘s idea of a vacation is enjoying the beautiful views nature has to offer – especially in Sardinia, Italy.

Leto shared a series of photos on Instagram, the first one taken just moments before the actor rappelled over a cliff down to the clear blue Mediterranean Sea.

To travel like Jared Leto, gather a group of friends and head to Sardinia for an unforgettable adventure.

Sardina is a little-known gem of a climbing location and world-class climbers often travel to Sardina for the rocky landscape. While there may be some more difficult routes, Sardinia also offers climbing routes for beginners, so it’s the perfect destination for all skill levels.

Cala Gonone, found in the central-east region of Sardinia, is one of the best places to rock climb. To make it even better, the best place to rock climb in the area just happens to be right above one of the most stunning beaches in Sardinia, Cala Fuili. Enjoy a dip in the sea after your climb, just like Leto.

La Poltrona is another renowned climbing cliff. It boasts over 80 climbing routes that any climber can enjoy. One expert tip to remember when climbing in the summer months is it’s too hot to climb on these sun-facing cliffs between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., but it’s perfect for climbing in the early morning and evening to catch the sunrise or set.

For more daring climbers, head over to Isili, in central Sardinia. These routes are filled with overhangs. This destination is usually filled with tourists, so keep that in mind if you’re hoping for a quieter route. Again, Isili has fun climbing spots categorized from beginner to advanced, so the whole family (or group of friends) will be able to find something for them.
