Gabrielle Union enjoyed an adventurous trip to Egypt with her husband, former NBA star Dwyane Wade, and posted stunning pictures of pyramids on social media.

The series of photos that the Bring It On actress shared on social media featured the couple engaging in a romantic kiss with a pyramid in the background, exploring the mysterious ancient architecture, tasting Egyptian wine and cuisine with friends, as well as a snap of Union posing on a wild rearing horse with one hand.

“Beach or not I’m bringing the sand with me,” captioned the 50-year-old star.

Union’s post has provided the Instagram audience with a glimpse of Egypt’s appeal: It is full of rich history with iconic landmarks, tasty food and beverages, hospitable culture and people, and much more for you to discover.

Among all the ancient pyramids, the Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the most magnificent and mysterious. This necropolis dates back nearly 5,000 years ago, but experts today are unsure of how they built up the monument with estimated 2.3 million stone blocks each weighing 2.5 to 15 tons.

The landmark is very accessible – located southwest of the capital Cairo, it is approximately a 35-minute car ride away. There are multiple ways for you to experience the phenomenal architecture, either take a look at the tomb from the inside or enjoy a camel ride and feel the harmonious power of the buildings.

Before starting pyramid adventures, it is a good idea to visit The Egyptian Museum located in Cairo. It has the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities with more than 120,000 items, where you can learn a brief history of the preserved ancient culture as well as appreciate the artistry. You will find the famous Mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun featured in this museum.
