Padma Lakshmi took her 13-year-old daughter Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell to Paris, France. Lakshmi posted pictures on her Instagram of the two from their balcony with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower.

“Littlehands and I absconded to Paris for a few days of rest, fashion and pastries, the view from our room at the @shangrilaparis was so perfect it was unreal!!” Lakshmi captioned the post. “If it’d been warmer and not rained as much we would’ve lived on that balcony, watching the city and basking in the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. Luckily we had an indoor pool and a deck of cards to occupy us ?”

Seeing the Eiffel Tower and eating pastries are obviously a must when visiting Paris, but what else can you do?

Of course there’s the Louvre Museum, the Seine River, and the Palace of Versailles, but have you ever thought about exploring the catacombs that lie beneath the city? Guided tours of the catacombs start from $35 per person and can go up to $140 per person depending on the length of time and access restrictions.
